Finding and developing the right human skills

The pandemic stopped the labor and skills shortage for the moment. However, with the economic recovery the demand for labor will come back. The lack of skilled employees could hinder the expansion of existing operations. The right skills are needed for enhancing the productivity in production and logistics as well as for the growing digitalization of businesses and the new economy.

Innovation and digitalization play a central role in the upgrading of CEE economies. CEE is well prepared to capture these growth opportunities as it is home of many innovative firms, a large ICT talent pool, vibrant digital ecosystems and highly motivated entrepreneurs. This also attracts the attention of foreign multinationals that increasingly see CEE not only as a low-cost location but appreciate its innovation potential.
